Facial rejuvenation (wrinkle reduction therapy / anti-wrinkle injections) is designed to soften expression lines that can make the face look tired or tense, while preserving natural movement and expression.

Treatment works by relaxing specific muscles in a controlled, conservative way. The aim is not to 'freeze' the face, but to achieve a subtle, balanced result that still looks like you — just more rested.

At Twickel, treatment is dentist-led by Dr Mihail Drug-Ionescu, with careful assessment, precise technique and clear aftercare.

If you have forehead lines, frown lines or lines around the eyes that you would like to soften, we would be happy to see you for a consultation.

FAQS About Facial Rejuvenation

1) Will I look 'frozen' or 'fake'?

We aim to achieve a natural result that simply makes you look refreshed and rejuvenated. We inject high-quality product into specific muscles that soften and reduce lines, while maintaining mobility and expression.

2) What results can I expect?

Most patients notice a softer, more rested look as the treatment settles. Results vary from person to person and are refined at review, usually around 14 days after treatment.

3) Does it hurt?

Most patients find treatment very manageable. You may feel a brief pinching sensation, and we will talk you through what to expect at every stage.

4) How often do you have to have top up treatments?

Results and frequency can differ from person to person, but many patients choose to repeat treatment every 3–4 months.

5) What are the possible complications of facial aesthetics?

All medical treatments carry some risk. Most side effects are minor and temporary, such as redness, swelling, tenderness or small bruises at the injection sites. Less commonly, headaches or a feeling of heaviness can occur while the treatment settles. Rarely, an unintended effect such as temporary eyelid or brow droop (ptosis) may happen. We minimise risk through careful assessment, conservative dosing and precise technique, and we will discuss suitability and aftercare with you at consultation.

6) Which Products Do We Use?

We use reputable, medical-grade products sourced through established UK pharmacies. At the consultation, we will discuss suitability, expected outcomes, and any risks or side effects.
